it's only tuesday and i am ready to crawl into bed and pull the blanket over my head.
took my car to get an oil change. found i had a nail in both back tires (that makes 3 in 6 weeks). and on the way there (running an hour late) the heat stopped working in the car yet again. THis was about the 5th time it has broken in the 4 years I have had the car. i almost lost my cool when i pulled up into the service bay and exxpressed my dismay and the service guy started laughing and said "that's what warranties are for." I almost gave him (in the loud ghetto only a black woman could do it, neck rolling, eye rolling, arms alternating between waving and being planted on my hips, loud talking swearing way) a piece of my mind. But instead thru clenched teeth i told him that i did not want ot end up getting stuck with a car that needs a new blower every 6 months.
so i went to the dr. got meds upped, came back and they told me i need new wipers. i left in a rental.
went to work where my coworkers (who are 75% of my depression at work) were up to their old tricks. they insist upon "hanging out" and talking when i am behind in my work. wtfuck do i have to do to get people to respect my space? i told them i have add and needed to be as distraction free as possible to complete my owrk. so idiot girl sits in my cube pouting because i won't bounce a bouncy ball with her.
the problem is that 2 of my coworkers are some of the most insensitive uncultured ass wipes you could imagine. not that they are mean, they are just not racially or culturally sensitive.
but the highlight is the "new girl" and i have kind of bonded. she's smart and witty and funny and open-minded. and she reminds me that i am not the insane one and the others are really ass wipes.
and then i teach. 25% of the class dropped out after theh 11st day. one girl tried to get up and leave to drop out int he middle of class but i chased her down.
and then i drove home and realized i had left my purse in the lab which was now locked. had to rush back and get security to open the door and who should i get at security? RJ. it was awkward to be with him in the same plane of space moving int he same direction rather than passing in opposite directions and with the protective barrier of his security booth and watching eyes. i felt so lonely. that cold emptiness i rememebr from teh 1st days of realizing our friendship was dead. it is weird to feel so guarded against someone who has seen your body and your soul naked.
and i am tired but i have work to catch up on and and another class to prep for. and a dog to walk and some tears to shed.
